Meet Casa Luna.
Casa Luna’s journey began in the winter of 2014. Isabel and Monica Aramburo are sisters, owners and designers of the label. They moved back to their native country of Colombia after living twenty five years abroad. They settled in a small town, Barichara, nestled in the magnificent Andes Mountains.
Isabel and Monica never expected to come back and find themselves in a place they no longer recognized as theirs, and this was very difficult. Creating Casa Luna was a way to come to terms with this huge step. It moved them to do something that they love – creating beautiful things for their beloved dog, Luna. Casa Luna Co was born.
Their sweaters are hand knit with two needles from indigenous wool whose quality, feeling and colors are exceptional. In the Andes, the sheep lives in optimal conditions which allow for the production of high quality wool. The natives developed an exquisite language of gratitude for their animals who are a source of food, fiber, fuel and skins. So you can shop in good conscience knowing the sweaters are environmentally friendly and cruelty free.
